The Girls Getting Ready : While Rob, an Ohioan, got ready in the South (Virginia), his bride from Georgia got ready in the hotel with her bridesmaids and family. It was a joyous time for all the girls as Emily’s father was led in to the room with his eyes covered. It’s a beautiful series of photos as he reacts to seeing Emily.

At Georgetown before the Wedding : The anticipation builds as the wedding draws closer. As always there are last minute details to take care of such as locating black socks for Pedro and getting a phone call from a guest asking if all the groomsmen had their shoes because she found a pair tuxedo shoes in the changing room. Once the socks and shoes were taken care of, the guys headed outside for some photos while the girls received their flowers. Then it was the girls’ turn to take photos. While the pictures were being snapped Cliff and Aaron stood guard in the window to make sure Rob didn’t look and that the students with supersoakers didn’t make their presence known.

Walking down the aisle : Finally, all the groomsmen made it into the chapel and everyone is assembled. All that is needed now is the rest of the bridal party and, of course, Emily. Dan, days removed from serving in Afghanistan, escorts Emily’s mother in before the bridesmaids make their way down the aisle. Then, after a little coaxing from his sister, the ring bearer and flower girl head inside. Next, the music changes, and everyone stands before Emily and her father step into the light and begin their procession down the aisle. While most eyes were on Emily, Rob’s mother watched her son. What a beautiful bride.

The Ceremony : A year after the proposal and we are finally at the altar. The ceremony was very joyous, but the flower girl did manage to take a nap. Rob found this amusing as he fell asleep when he was the ring bearer at his god-mother’s wedding. Fortunately she forgave him and did a reading at our wedding. Everything was super and smiles could be seen all around. Enjoy the photos here and there are more in the gallery.
